  • Abstract
    The accumulation of space charge in cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) under DC stress was investigated with PWP method and TSD method. The activation energy of different peaks of TSD is obtained with split multi-peak method; the polarization of dipoles and impurities is distinguished. The results show that cross-linking agent is one of the sources of hetero-space charge, and the homo-space charge is associated with cross-linking residues. They have the major effect on the accumulation of space charge in XLPE sample
