Abstract
The paper describes the detection of the delamination of walls by thermal images in the 5.5 to 7.9 μm band and surface temperature distribution images by heat balance simulation. The authors have developed a thermal infrared camera which has a response in the 5.5 to 7.9 μm range and is suitable to detect the surface temperatures of walls finished with mortar. The camera is useful in reducing the thermal interference of radiation reflected from walls. The authors propose an image processing algorithm to detect the delamination of walls even if there are pollution and cracks on the surface. Effectiveness of the proposed algorithm is verified by experimental results
