Education standards and Ocean Science Oceans 2005 MTS/IEEE

Education Standards and Ocean Science discusses the need for educational materials that directly address ocean science education standards. Time will be spent reviewing Gray´s Reef Ocean Science Course that was developed to provide materials, background information and activities for middle school grades in Georgia. Posters, DVD´s, and activities were created and combined with a CD of still images and background information into a notebook that is easy for teachers to use. The materials are specific to Georgia´s Performance Standards and germane to the southeast yet relevant globally. Participants may sign up to receive Gray´s Reef Ocean Science Course.
