Abstract :
The aim of this work is the combination of intracavity dispersion management, pulse amplification and pulse compression with a very compact form. The system was characterized and the dimensions of which are not bigger than a shoe box and specifications comparable to those of standard Ti:sapphire lasers are demonstrated. A modular system consisting of a mode-locked oscillator, a tapered semiconductor amplifier, and an external pulse compressor are used.
