Abstract :
The European Collaborative Programme has since 1985 served as a forum for development of applications of remote sensing data in the management of the economically less favoured areas in the EEC. The programme is a cooperative network among more than 50 institutions dealing with land use and environmental planning. Case studies on application of satellite data for forest and grassland mapping have been key issues of part of the programme
