Abstract :
Blast is one of the most dangerous disease of rice plants. The changes at the early stages of the spectral reflectance curves for rice plants affected with blast disease reveal a decrease in green and near-infrared bands. A continuous decrease in the red and near infrared wavelength are illustrated at maturity stage. At later maturity stages the change in spectral reflectance is accompanied by a continuous shift of visual peak green and red bands to form a straight line in the near-infrared. The correlation coefficient of the spectral signature values of LANDSAT MSS bands and the RVI and NDVI of infected rice plant are obvious
