Abstract :
The theory of central angle is defined in the context of network behavior for dynamic operation. Making reference to cutset angle theory, a methodology for identifying abnormalities on the network is proposed according to central angle evolution. The model is tested on a power system comprising the Colombian electrical network. The performance and robustness of the model is verified with simulations and contingencies. Potential applications for Phase Measurement Units, PMU, and location are also proposed.
