Abstract
In this paper, magnetic entropy change in the Ge-rich alloys Gd/sub 5/(Si/sub x/Ge/sub 1-x/)/sub 4/ was measured. These alloys holds the higher magnetic anisotropy change of all known magnetic refrigerants in their respective temperature range. The isothermal magnetization measurements in the temperature range of T/sub c/ and T/sub N/ were performed.
