  • Abstract
    Domain processes associated with exchange bias in IrMn/NiFe are investigated using a micromagnetic approach. The model give quantitative estimates of the bias field and the coercivity for antiferromagnetic/ferromagnetic bilayers with fully compensated interfaces. The numerically calculated domain processes are compared with those observed in transmission electron microcopy studies of exchange biased bilayers.
