  • Abstract
The existing sequential estimation algorithms repeatedly accumulate the previous erroneous information. Thus, their performance is usually poor in the low SNR region, especially when the sequence initial state is unknown. This paper presents a new method, called Innovation Net Accumulation-Sequential Acquisition (INASE) for sequential acquisition. By designing innovation net accumulating scheme, the useful information can be accumulated more effectively. The comparison between INASE and the existing acquisition algorithm shows that INASE provides better acquisition performance and can successfully acquire the PN sequence even in extremely bad communication environments.
