Abstract
In this paper, we describe the influence of an interactive education system on the actual activity inside the classroom of an early elementary school. We developed an Anoto-based digital pen system and conducted a case study on the school. After six practice lectures, a questionnaire survey and interviews were used to reveal the effects of our system. We concluded that the system was effective in increasing the students´ motivation levels. However, a few pupils showed signs of hesitation in displaying their answers.
