Abstract :
The Tropical Rainfall Measuring Mission (TRMM) is a free flyer to be launched in 1997. TRMM is a joint mission between the U.S. and Japan. The U.S. will provide the observatory and four scientific instruments and Japan will provide precipitation radar, rocket and launch related services. The TRMM orbit is planned to be circular at an altitude of 350 km and at an inclination of 35°
