Abstract :
This paper describes a new approach for a "Temperature Controller of the Sample of a Fast Field Cycling Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectrometer". The developed temperature controller is based on two systems: a cooling system and a heating system. The cooling system uses Peltier cells (Peltier effect). The heating system uses a resistive heater (Joule effect). Input air for both systems is the air room, which temperature depends on the weather conditions. For both systems, the air mass flow is controlled using electrical valves. The developed control system allows to control the air mass flow of the heating system and the cooling system and, to control the supply of the Peltier cells (current control) and the supply of the resistive heater (voltage control). This temperature controller was designed to be integrated in a Fast field Cycling Nuclear Magnetic Resonance, contributing to study the molecular dynamics of different type of compounds in a temperature range of the sample from 273 K to 400 K.
