Abstract :
When using DAS (Distribution Automation System), operators in distribution network dispatch centers pay a lot of attention to single line diagrams of feeders. In order to reduce repetitive work, the single line diagrams for DAS are usually derived from GIS (Geographic Information System). They are exported from GIS as SVG files and then imported into DAS. It is noticeable that DAS and GIS focus on different details and will make the SVG files from GIS difficult to meet the requirements of the operators effectively. Three common problems of project implementation are figured out in this paper. Detailed analyses of the three problems followed by specific solution methods are given in this paper as well. Graphical integration of DAS and GIS is effectively improved and make it possible to realize maintenance of the single line diagrams in GIS, which is call Source-End-Maintenance.
