Abstract :
This paper focuses on the control plane signaling required to support the inter-working of IntServ and DiffServ as well as some of the fairness issues present in the assured forwarding per hop behavior of the DiffServ architecture. A testbed network is to be implemented to evaluate the signaling mechanisms in provisioning for end-to-end guarantees and to determine if fairness can be achieved in the DiffServ model.
