Abstract :
Using the similar material and simulating test block joint by prepared vitriol paper, the scale effect on deformation of five kinds of fractal distribution joint rock mass is studied, in which the deformation of rock simulate block is obtained form the test on the same scale. On the base of analyzing the deformation change with the scale or the joint distribution dimension, the planar empirical equation is put forward. It is concluded that the rock ductility law increasing with the number argument of rock masses joint is deduced, however, the damage process and way are controlled by the joint distribution.
