Abstract :
An 8-b, 30-MS/s rail-to-rail full Nyquist low-power CMOS full-flash converter was implemented with micropower comparators in a 1 μm split-poly CMOS process. An effective input bandwidth of more than 15 MHz was achieved with less than 200-mW power dissipation. A similar implementation using two-step flash architecture is expected to be less than 50 mW
