  • Abstract
    In this paper, we derive tight upper bounds on the error probability of orthogonal design transmit diversity, also known as space-time block codes, operating over independent and correlated flat Rayleigh fading channels. The analysis is based on the probability density function of the effective signal-to-noise ratio at the space-time combiner output. This analytic framework supports various complex orthogonal designs with arbitrary signal cardinalities and array configurations.
