Abstract :
In this approach we propose a new laser setup based on two passively coupled ring resonators (Skoczowsky et al., 2010). A large ring resonator has a tapered amplifier (TA) as gain element, while a small ring resonator contains a periodically poled lithium niobate (PPLN) crystal for efficient SHG.
