Abstract :
Thailand Remote Sensing Center (TRSC) has operated a ground receiving station since late 1981 with the capability of acquiring Landsat MSS data and the high resolution Landsat TM and SPOT HRV data since 1987. TRSC presently has a large archive which can serve users worldwide. Since the user community is steadily increasing, multi-level satellite data is therefore needed. TRSC has tried its best to fulfil this requirement. In mid-1992, TRSC completed a system to receive NOAA-AVHRR data, and in December 1992, in the cooperation with the European Community, Thailand ground station was able to acquire SAR ERS-1 data. Moreover, the Japanese JERS-1 data will also be available in the very near future. The multi-level satellite data from TRSC can be used in many multi-disciplinary applications especially global environment monitoring
