Abstract
Photonic UWB pulse generation using monolithic integration of electroabsorption modulator and tapered-optical-directional coupler (TODC) is proposed. Through bias-dependent transfer efficiency, FCC-fitted UWB pulse with system demonstration is realized by valley-type transfer function.
