Abstract
The problem of normally incident shear wave interaction with elastic layer, remaining in plane strain state, is considered. The problem is formulated within the model for small elastic disturbance propagation in non-homogeneously strained continuum. With the use the iterative method an analytical solution in zero and first approximations is obtained. The solution is applied to describe inhomogeneous transparency of the layer with residual stresses acting in it.
