Abstract
In this paper, we present a dynamic caching and replacing mechanism for the multiple videos over quality of service networks. The metafile containing the metadata about the video is maintained for caching and replacing mechanism. The caching algorithm employs the sliding window method to select the frame that has to be cached. The sliding window mechanism uses the beneficial value which is calculated based on the required bandwidth and buffer size of the frames. The experimental results shows the ordering of frames in the metafile and the influence of the window size for selecting the frame for caching.
