Abstract :
Many laser applications benefit from top-hat intensity profiles, which usually require complicated and bulky optics to transform the (mostly gaussian) laser beam. We present a laser system based on Vertical-Cavity Surface-Emitting Laser Diodes (VCSELs), which offers an easy optics with a large flexibility in beam shape.
