  • Abstract
    This paper presents a new hybrid simplex-genetic structure to improve classification´s performance. In this method the simplex local search optimizes some parameters of GA in each generation to perform better. To evaluate the performance of this approach, it was executed on 9 well-known databases. With respect to experiments results, in most cases this method performs better than the simple GA in terms of classification accuracy.
