Abstract :
In order to support the realisation of a sub-mm-wave limb sounder instrument for the monitoring of ozone depletion processes in the middle atmosphere, the European Space Agency (ESA) runs a program for the development of critical instrument technologies. The current status and results from this program in the areas heterodyne receivers at 600 GHz and 1-3 THz as well as limb sounder spectrometers are presented
