National Oceanic & amp; Atmospheric Administration´s Coral Reef Information System: A One-Stop Source for Coral Reef Data and Information

NOAA´s Coral Reef Information System (CoRIS) is the primary vehicle for distributing coral reef information and data products resulting from the NOAA Coral Reef Conservation Program. CoRIS is a Web-enabled, GIS enhanced information system that allows multiple user groups to gain access to NOAA´s coral reef data and information, activities, and library services through a single Web portal. The NOAA Coral Reef Conservation Program supports various coral-related projects that have produced peer-reviewed literature and data products, such as aerial photographs, benthic habitat maps, hot-spot and degree heating week charts, coral bleaching reports, biodiversity assessments, etc. that are all available through CoRIS.
