  • Abstract
    With higher penetration of the wind power generation, the influence on power system is significant. Characterized as instable and discontinuous, wind power will produce certain impact when integrated into local power grid, leading to power quality deterioration, frequency and voltage instability. This study investigated the influence of the battery energy storage system (BESS) on the characteristics of Doubly-fed induction generator (DFIG), and has shown promising improvement of DFIG by BESS. The modeling and simulation are based on the PSCAD/EMTDC software.
