Abstract
We consider the channel and power allocation problem for 802.11b public wireless access networks. We demonstrate exact that joint channel and power optimization is feasible for up to about 30 access points and that worthwhile performance gains can be achieved. We discuss various issues related to the structure of the optimization problem and its efficient solution.
