Abstract :
With the extensive use of digital measurement devices for measuring several power system parameters by a common data acquisition system, the need for a wide dynamic range data acquisition system has become critical. The design of such data acquisition system should be done carefully so that small neutral current, normal load current, and high level of fault current can be measured without compromising the accuracy. This paper discusses a methodology by which a proper data acquisition system can be designed with wide dynamic range.
