  • Abstract
    For the purpose of systematic researches for SST retrieval from MOS-1 data, a multi-sensor data set was developed for validation of SST retrieval using MOS-1 VTIR, MSR and MESSR data around the Japanese islands. More than one hundred data elements taken on different dates were accumulated during three years and they were evaluated in order to derive the optimal equation for SST retrieval by VTIR data. In addition, a possibility of the improvement of the accuracy for SST retrieval was also tested by the combination of VTIR with MSR
