  • Abstract
    Unified power quality controller has broad prospects in the future applications. Due to the lack of main circuit and parameter design method of Unified power quality controller (UPQC) with large capacity, In this paper, UPQC series (left) parallel (right), which is the most common structure will be taken as an example, static state mathematical model will be analyzed; Based on static state mathematical model, main circuit parameter design method of UPQC with large capacity will be investigated. Parallel/series side converter, parallel/series commutating transformer, dc capacitor and other major parameter design method is proposed. The correctness of the model and the main circuit parameters has been verified by simulation analysis, which provides solid foundation for manufacturing large capacity UPQC industrial prototype.
