Abstract :
This paper describes a fuzzy logic approach for image processing. The approach was derived from works on fuzzy image processing. The contribution of this paper is to provide a guidance of the steps to perform fuzzy image processing. Image information and image concept models incorporate uncertainty. Fuzzy logic represents a good mathematical framework to deal with uncertainty of information. In this paper a general scheme for a fuzzy image processing methodology is documented. This methodology is generated to manipulate uncertainty in image concepts like; brightness, edges, and geometric features. The methodology is illustrated with three applications.
