Abstract :
This paper presents the investigations, tests and the development process that leads to the successful deployment of a SVG based digital map display system on an ARM based embedded platform running on the embedded Linux. Experiences gathered and results obtained through the development process are described and discussed, and would act as useful reference for similar work in the consumer electronics industry.
