Abstract :
Power system short term load forecasting is very sensitive to the disturbance factors in the day load, which could not obtain the desired optimal results. In order to solve such problems, this paper proposes sectional simulation forecasting method. This paper takes a certain area as an example and demonstrates sectional simulation forecasting method by analyzing the characteristics from daily load of this area, and compare sectional simulation forecasting method with conventional method for short term load forecasting effect. It´s easy to see, sectional simulation forecasting method, by contrast, is obviously superior to the conventional method of short-term load forecasting, and meets the power system load forecasting personnel´s demands much better.
