Abstract
Widespread use of medical information systems and explosive growth of medical databases require traditional manual data analysis to be coupled with methods for efficient computer-assisted analysis. In this article we present and discuss various methods for knowledge discovery in medicine databases. We present the use of different methods within multimethod data mining tool in the medicine domain, more especially on the domain of complementary and alternative medicine in the case of bronchial asthma. We demonstrate the importance of using different methods for the mining of data in such cases, and discuss the results based on our experiments. We conclude with the future work and the idea of "knowledge-mining, wisdom-discovery" considered described approach.
