Abstract
The aim of this work is to offer a methodology to evaluate the increasing wear in elastomeric pneumatic seals. The experimental procedure here presented evaluates the size geometrical variations of the tested seals by means of a back-pressure fluidic sensor integrated in a fine mechanical system. The wear tests are carried out on a specific test rig reproducing the real seal working conditions. The wear is evaluated without removing the seals from their seats by means of a specially designed measurement test rig
