The Impact of Urban Layout on Traffic Flow Prediction of Intersection

Urban planning and design is based on traffic flow prediction of intersection to some extent in city, so the rationality of urban planning is influenced by accuracy of intersection prediction. This paper based on traditional Four Phases, considering road improvement near the intersection, predicted the impaction of transfer traffic volume on every run-in of intersection; according to the change of land nature, the paper discussed the impaction of transfer traffic volume of intersection. To sum up, accurate traffic flow of intersection could be obtained in plan year. At the end of the paper we applied this model to the Taizhou five-leg roundabout based on statistical yearbook data, to make sure this method does work.
