Abstract
Global environmental change in a year can be monitored by detecting change of the normalized vegetation index (NVI) data from the AVHRR on NOAA satellites. The change can be recognized by analyzing the climate data. Fourier analysis is applied to the monthly NVI data and the climate data to study the relation between them. By using the relation maps, the reasons of the NVI data change are explained clearly
