Abstract
This paper describes torque shaping for rest-to-rest slewing of a flexible spacecraft in minimum time subject to limits on maximum torque and jerk. A torque profile with given jerk and torque limits is assumed with unknown comer switching times. These switching times are determined by minimizing the slew time subject to the zero residual vibration, sensitivity and terminal constraints. Results show improvement in performance with input shaping over simple minimum time bang-bang control.
