Abstract :
A new SAR digital processor has been designed and coded to process signal data acquired by the spaceborne JERS-1 (L band), EERS-1 (C band), and SEASAT (L band), as well as the airborne CCRS (C/X band) SAR sensors. Its features include: automatic configuration for standard products; users´ flexibility for SAR research; range-Doppler algorithm with secondary range compression; resampling on complex data set to preserve resolution and phase continuity. The processor runs on a common 80386 or i486 PC with no special hardware. It is written in ANSI standard C using a modular design to allow easy adoption of new sensors, features, and options. Intermediate results and processing parameters are readily accessible through the friendly user-interface supporting input, output, display and hardcopy of signals or images in various formats on DOS compatible media or Exabyte tape
