Abstract
At TNO Physics and Electronics Laboratory a novel algorithm has been developed for real-time SAR processing, it is referred to as the subband algorithm. The algorithm is based on the theory of multirate filter banks. From the subband algorithm a fast convolution algorithm and an autofocus algorithm are derived. Using the fast convolution algorithm a high performance hardware architecture for real-time SAR processing is proposed. It is show that the autofocus algorithm has good prospects in combination with the fast convolution algorithm
