Wealth creation from design: effectiveness, collaboration and the new Design Council

This paper discusses three themes which, as Chairman of the Design Council, the author believes are important to achieve wealth creation in the United Kingdom through design: first, the vital role the effective use of design must play in UK industry; second, the need for collaboration between the Design Council and relevant partners; and third, the way the new Design Council is developing its programme as the national authority on design and a catalyst for change
