Abstract :
This article describes an intelligent electronic tourist guide system which is composed of microcontroller AT89S52, radio frequency chips nRF24L01 and audio decoder chip ATJ2051. The hardware and software used in the system were characterized. A proto-type has been built to overcome many of the limitations of the traditional information and navigation tools available to visitors. The system has shown a good performance in anti-interference, especially in handy operation and playing stability. In this article we present an evaluation of the proto-type, focusing on the quality and flexibility of the visitor´s experience when using the system.
