Abstract
Five factors, such as terrain, the type of land used, soil type, the ratio of rice area to land area and social output of person, are selected to evaluate synthetically the yield level of rice in Shanghai. In order to reflect scientifically the factor effects on total rice yield, the authors adopted the method of stratification analysis to determine the weight coefficient of every factor. The authors used GIS tools to conduct synthetical stratification of the rice yield estimation
