Abstract :
The digital simulation of flood routing of the floodplain and the method of drawing flood risk maps are studied. The model established with the support of a geographic information system (GIS) can provide a valuable basis for flood-control planning in the floodplain. Finally, the author introduces and analyzes the concept and essential implication of flood risk map as new type of thematic map and has drawn several flood risk maps according to the different conditions in the test area
