Abstract
In Wimax MBS (Multicast-Broadcast System), the power savings and channel switching delay are two critical performance metrics that affects the viewing time capacity and quality of experience of the end-user. The amount of air-interface resources allocated for MBS, power savings targeted, channel receiving/switching delay target, multimedia stream data rate are all inter-related. This paper analyzes the interactions of these parameters for Wimax MBS and quantifies the impact of key parameters on the desired power savings ratio and channel switching delay.
