Abstract :
The authors assess the effects of changes in the patch dimensions and variations in the substrate parameters on the performance of low-cost DBS antennas. They used a moment method based CAD tool to design a circularly polarized antenna for the European DBS system and to study the tolerance effects on its performance. The European DBS frequency band is 11.7-12.5 GHz.
