Abstract :
Guidelines are developed for applying capacitors and harmonic-producing loads on low-voltage systems. The subject is approached from a systems point of view for low voltage applications, emphasizing the system interaction effects and the means that can be used to minimize this interaction. A detailed example is included to illustrate the use of the guidelines, which are applicable for a high percentage of low-voltage applications
