Hardware implementation of software radios

This presentation will deal with the concept of building software radios (SDR) for multi-standard communication terminals. First the session will cover the subsystem details of software radios. Signal transmission and reception in in both transmitters and receivers will be covered. Various aspects of digital signal processing algorithm implementations will then be covered. Topics such as modulation and demodulation, coding and decoding, linearization, synchronization will be dealt with in details. Finally a wide overview of commercially available SDR implementation platforms for research purposes will be presented.
